Roberts is co-author of "Arkansas Workers' Compensation Law Manual Legislation and Commentary" (1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, and 2003 Editions). On February 1, 2008, Governor Mike Beebe appointed Roberts to the Arkansas Economic Development Commission to serve as a Commissioner.

Roberts is licensed in New York, Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee, and Texas. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and several U.S. Federal District Courts. He received his J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
